I’ll be hosting a tour of the land we planted with trees last year in central Scotland, telling the story of how we planted a forest.
For people interested in learning more about planting their own wood, or just curious about the process!
We planted about 30 different tree species and our aim is to produce high quality timber whilst providing significant benefits to nature and people, using continuous cover forestry to achieve this.
The event is free of charge.

Outline Of Day
10:00-13:00 Tour of the new forest. Going through how we found/bought the land, the forest design process, how the grant application worked, costs, maintenance and long term plans.
13:00-16:00 Forestry maintenance activity for those who wish.
